After parking in Maulds Meaburn follow the course of the Lyvennet south on the side of the beck furthest from the road. At the end of the village follow the sandstone wall for a short distance to the left and turn right on to a path heading towards Flass. On reaching the gates take the footpath through a green gate to emerge later in an open field after passing through a tunnel under a driveway.

Cross this field and pass through a gap style and continue along the side of the beck to pass through another gap style. Head across the next field again following the beck to pass Low Row farm, on your left, through a metal gate and then a high wooden gate to a road. Turn right over Monks bridge and then left into Crosby Ravensworth. Follow the path by St Lawrence's church and just beyond a footpath sign shows the path to Wickerslack.

Pass through the farm yard and through a gate to follow a path that winds up the hill to another metal farm gate. Walk diagonally across the field to the top left hand corner and cross two styles that are very close to each other. Walk straight across the field you have now entered and you will find a gap style in a wall just to the left of a pole carrying power lines. Move forward to the left of derelict farm buildings and a large tree, to pass through another gap style. Cross the short distance across the next field and through another style in the right corner of the field.
The way now lies forward up a slight hill, where once over the crest of the hill, look for two farm gates next to each other on your right. Pass through the one on the right and move straight forward to pass through another gate to the left of some farm buildings - this is Wickerslack. Immediately take the lane to the right passing houses on your left and farm buildings on your right. After passing the last of the buildings and just as the lane bends to the left go through a gate that has a way marker on it and follow the path with a wall on your right. You then pass through a wooden gate into a field aiming towards a copse that is on your right. At the end of the copse there is a gate leading into the copse. Pass through it and then walk on through the copse ignoring the style on your left.
On emerging from the copse cross the grassy area to a farm track and head off to the right following this path for some distance, passing through two more farm gates to enter a wooded area. Keep on the track and it eventually emerges on a metalled road at a sharp bend. Turn right down the road for about 100yds until a footpath sign just over a bridge points diagonally across a field. At this point Meaburn Hall can be seen on your left as you cross the field heading for a gap style in the wall you are approaching. Carry on diagonally across this field to a style that leads you onto the road. Turn right and walk back into Maulds Meaburn from the North.
